Designed for water burials, the urn briefly floats before sinking, where it naturally biodegrades over time, dispersing your loved one's ashes in the deep sea. Float time may vary based on ash weight, weather, and water conditions.
This urn is crafted to hold a full portion of adult ashes, ensuring proper sinking. For smaller amounts of ashes, adding a weighted material like sand helps it submerge in a timely manner. Per federal burial at sea guidelines, cremated remains must be scattered at least three nautical miles from shore.
This urn was designed by me and handmade in Mexico by skilled artisans using recycled paper and plant-based glue. It is 100% biodegradable and non-toxic to sea life. Your purchase helps provide jobs with a living wage for artisans working in a traditional art form.
